Airline Shipping

When shipping a puppy, we at Heart 2 Heart make all the travel arrangements.

The puppies are shipped in an airline-approved crate. The crate must be big enough that when the puppy stands up with his head up and ears erect they are not allowed to touch the top of the crate and the puppy must be able to turn around in the crate.

The puppies travel in the cargo area, however, it is pressurized and at the same temperature and has the same air filtered in as the passengers breathe. Having shipped puppies for many years, we have never had any negative experiences. We are always very pleased with the condition of the puppies and the attention they received while in the care of the airlines.

Most families report that the puppy was made available to them between 15 to 30 minutes from the time the plane arrived. When your puppy arrives, he may be picked up in the cargo pickup area. The airlines usually require some form of identification before they will release the puppy to the new owner. After you pick up your puppy and have returned home, we would ask that you email us to let us know how the puppy is doing.

All puppies must be a minimum of 8 weeks old to fly.

We at Heart 2 Heart Puppies make all the shipping arrangements. We search for the shortest available flight. We will have a professional shipper scheduling the flight and they will text the flight arrival information (airline, day of shipment, flight number, air bill number and time and location of arrival) as soon as they have been confirmed to them by the airline.

Included with shipment of each puppy is its certified health certificate, vaccination and worming record,  small bag of food.

Be sure to keep in mind that your puppy is a live animal and will need to use the bathroom. We and the airlines will do all we can to get the puppy to you as clean and comfortable as we can.
